This
3.5" Questar full aperture
white light glass solar filter lets you see
fine detail
on the surface of the Sun with any 3.5" Questar telescope or spotting scope - sunspots, granulation, etc.
The Questar filter
threads securely
into the front cell of all 3.5" Questar optical tubes. It does not merely slip over the front of the optical tube, as is the case with lesser filters. The filter is made of BK-7 optical glass, polished plane-parallel on both sides to reduce the possibility of internal reflections. It is chrome coated to reduce the heat and visible light of the Sun to levels that are safe for both your scope and your eyes.
My own comments:
I have used this with my Questar 3.5" telescope. I have a couple more but this is the best for me! It's
bright
and I like that (especially since I use a binoviewer which dims the image). Let me repeat and emphasize: Some people have mentioned that this is perhaps too bright. This is a blessing for me. I love the bright image. If it is a problem with you, you can use neutral density filters to reduce the intensity.
Selling because I am getting out of the hobby (will be selling the Questar too) - actually switching to binocular astronomy - I need to use both eyes and the Questar & Binoviewer combination is not a good solution for me.
The condition is pretty good.
There are light scratches but nothing serious

If you want the best, you should have this!
Have I priced it to high? Perhaps, but you might have to wait a long time to find another one for sale.
